July 2024 Dividend Update

 July 2024 Dividend Updates

I am almost catching up with reporting my monthly dividend collected.  Folks this is a real money each of the companies paid me to hold their stock. In other words it is the reward for being a shareholder of these companies.

Without further ado let us review July 2024, updates and see how this is coming along.

In July 2024, in our taxable accounts we received a total of $749.25.  Wow truly amazing seeing the number growing each month and every year with continue investments and re-investing the dividend until one day when I can start to use it for every day expenses.

How did you do in July 2024, or the months following that?
We will update August 2024, in the coming days as I catch up with life and work.

Thank you for visiting,

I always enjoy reflecting on my dividend received and look forward to the next one to evaluate how I am doing as far as building dividend growth portofolio that will sustain and cover 100% of my living expenses. To this end I have often compared it to what bills I could had cover with the dividend received for the month.

Dividend Income - April 2016

Dividend income for April 2016

Another month and time to reflect on those who paid us dividend. There really is nothing to compare to passive income via dividends. Its passive, nothing is required from you, but to constant invest in this stalwarts of company which year in year out continue to payout dividend and increase at a rate above that of inflation.

Below are company who paid me dividend in April.

April 2016
4/4/20164/5/20164/6/20164/7/2016

$17.79
Wow $17.79 close enough to pay my monthly parking to commute to work. I will take that I had nothing else to do but started to invest in some of this companies.

As all my stocks are set to reinvest the dividend this will add $0.28 to my yearly dividend to $531.21. How is this contributing to my yearly goal?

well so far first quarter (Q1) total dividend was $85.95, I will be looking to add and grow this income for the foreseeable future.

How did you do in April?

Recent Buy V

Added 3 new stocks to the retirement fund on Loyal3!!

Towards the end of last week I had less than $100 left on my account as I try to figure what to buy. I ponder towards buy myself a nice sneakers or even a dress shoe. Well many thoughts ran thru my head on what I should do. Ultimately I decide to transfer the fund to loyal3 and add few descend stocks on my watch list there.

So here is what I end up adding to my loyal3 account.

On April 21, 2016

MSFT $10.00 .1934 shares @ 51.70
WMT  $10.00  .1459 shares @ 68.52
SBUX  $10.00  .1742 shares @ 57.39
FTR     $10.00  1.8116 shares @ 5.52
VFC    $10.00   .1569 shares  @ 63.74
LB      $10.00   .1302 shares  @ 76.83
INTC  $10.00   .3174 shares   @ 31.51

A modest $70.00 total put to work. This will. Add 2.27 towards dividend. Total now stands at $499.40

I will surely reach the $500 in forward yearly dividend this week. This is an average of $41 dollars a month; this will surely pay my cable bill, one expense cover check!

What do you think of recent purchases?

Recent Buy IV

Added 1 new stocks to the fund!

It's becoming hard to find stocks to park your money the market (DOW) is only few hundred points away from all time high, which is great for day traders but not for long term investors to be active. I see myself continue to place capital at work whenever I see value.

So here is what I purchase this week:

4/19/2016 on sharebuilder account:

CAT $250.00 3.06 shares @ $80.40
WFC $50.00 .92 shares @ 49.79
BLX $80.00 3.01 shares @ $25.18

CAT is a new position on my retirement fund portfolio; it has rebounded nicely lately but there is still room to grown, so it's a good time to start a position.

So recent purchases adds $15.44 to my yearly dividend and total now stands at $497.13 in forward dividend.

What do you think of recent purchases?

Hope I can find hidden capital somewhere to continue to add to my fund. With the tax deadline looming it can be a difficult month to add capital.

About you what are your priorities this month?

Thanks for reading.

Recent buy IV - March 2016

As my retirement portfolio continue to grow, it was time to add side monthly dividend payers as complement to my portfolio that one day will fund my early retirement.

So here is what I purchase and add to my fund.

March 16, 2016 on sharebuilder account I added the following stocks:

Main Street Capital Corp. (MAIN) $318.95 10 Shares @ $31.20

LTC Properties Inc. (LTC)  $230 5 shares @ $44.61

Hoping REALTY INCOME CORPORATION (O) can pull back a little bit so I may initiate a position there as well.

But these two monthly dividend payers is as close as O as far as consistency, I will take that. My fair value is at $35 and $48 respectively So it is a bargain at this point.

It will add $32.40 to my yearly dividend. This bring my forward yearly dividend to $412.01

What are your thoughts on recent purchases?  What are you buying?
Hoping to still add some industrial and finance this month. The likes of ITW, WPC, WFC, CMI, CB, DE and JPM all seem appealing as far as valuation goes. But will see if capital will be available to invest.

Thanks for reading.
Disclaimer: Long on all stocks listed. Expect for O

Recent purchase III March 2016

This week was interesting week my overal portfolio was up 8.4% which is a great news. But as Dividend growth investor I am really not too concern about market up and down, or concern with taking profit when ever my portfolio is up as much it was this week. Although this is a new strategy for me been a dividend growth investor (DGI) as its benefits of stress free as far as market gyrations go.

This week I made some purchase towards long term contributions towards my dividend growth portfolio.

Here is what I add to my fund without further ado:

Loyal3 on 3/15/2016

LB $10 .01155 shares @  $86.61
K $10 .1333 shares @ $75.04
INTC $10 .3179 shares @ $31.46
WMT $15 .2222 shares @ $67.50
VFC $15 .2304 shares @ $65.11
KHC $35 .4503 shares @ $77.73

Sharebuilder on 3/15/2016

CINF $150 2.24 shares @ $65.17

Recent Purchase - March 2016 II

Due to busy week I have not updated last weeks purchase. I made two small purchase with fund left over from previous week that was not deployed. I add little bit more shares to my portfolio. Like the saying goes another week another dollar towards investment.

So here is what I purchase last week.

3/8/2016 $25 NOV .65 shares @ 32.28 on Sharebuilder
3/7/2016 $30 MCD .25 shares @118.93 on Loyal3

It will add $2.94 to my yearly dividend. This bring my forward yearly dividend to $372.55

What are your thoughts on recent purchases?  What are you buying?

For next week I am looking to add to CINF, OKE, and maybe add MAIN.

Will see how much capital I can save towards the purchase. The key for me add this point is to consistently add to my investment albeit small at times.

Recent Buy IV

Although the market has rebound a bit for the week and unlike previous weeks where there seem to be alot of blood bath on the street with the market in a nose dive trajectory. But Like the saying goes another week another dollar going towards building passive income.

When there is panic in the street there are always opportunity to add to shares at lower discounted prices. I don't know about you but I rather pay $.60 for a dollar. That is pretty much were we are at this level. Since we cannot project the future where the market is headed, consistently adding shares will cause anice snow ball effect on the dividend income the best of passive income.

Timing the market will only cause anxiety and I enjoy my sleep too much to be anxious about anything. Since we can't really predict future market outcome. Consistently adding shares of quality stocks and a discounted prices will either lower cost basis, or get you great long term stock to hold forever and of course collect passive income.

Passive income is the best income there is. Getting paid to basically manage you time and do as you please. There is no value to owning you time.

I can think of a million things I can do with my time. One of which is do volunteer work, travel and pretty much do what I please when I want to. For this week so far I did not add any new stocks to my retirement fund.

Here is an update to recent purchases from this week both on loyal3 and Sharebuilder account.

On February 22, 2016

MCD $10 .0860 shares @116.26
LB  $10   .1217 shares  @82.14
K $10    .1350 shares @74.07

February 23, 2016 on Sharebuilder

CMI $100  .98 shares @97.22
UTX $150  1.59 shares @91.56
RDS.A $150  3.25 shares @44.84

This small purchases added $22.65 to my 12 month trailing dividend. The yearly dividend income is now $350.60 with this purchase . Big step for first year of dividend investing. As I look forward to continue dividend growth I can see this continue to grow into a passive income to sustain my family lifestyle.

What are your thoughts on recent purchases?  What are you buying?

Recent Buy - Loyal3

Recent buy - Loyal3
February 2, 2016

It has been close to two weeks since I added to Loyal3 shares. So today I was due to add shares to my small portfolio of funds that will one day pay for all my expenses via dividend. I really like using Loyal3 to both add shares slowly and the ideal of buy stocks without any fees.

That been said here is what was posted on my Loyal3 for this week. I add one more stocks which I do believe is below valuation. So I added Intel (INTC) to my fund this week. Intel is the leader in the integrated design of manufacturing of microprocessors mostly in the personal computers side. But they are also moving to mobile devices and other venture which should add to core business. They also spend more on R&D than any of their peers which should bold well to changing dynamics in the interconnected world we live on.

They hold four fifths share of the market which makes it a wide moat in my view in the industry. Fourth-Quarter sales came in at astounding 14.9 billion, it's a modest 1% year over year; but consider market condition I think I will take that any day. My fair market price is $33.00 a share. I do think however it has room to grow. My purchase came in just above $30 which is fair. Morning star quantitative fair value is $35.80.

Without further ado here is the purchase which posted:

INTC $50  1.6656 shares @30.02
DIS $10  .1065 shares   @93.86
WMT $10  .1496 shares @66.83
VFC $10  .1583 shares  @63.17
KHC $10  .1310 shares  @76.32

I do not intend to make a lot of big purchase here on loyal3, but I do want to use
This account to show its possible to build shares even if you don't have a lot of additional capital to invest. It also possible to achieve financial freedom slowly if you continually invest regularly and let the power of compounding take over with time on you side.

This small purchases added $2.58 to my 12 month trailing dividend. The yearly dividend income is now $269.61 with this purchase. Also this does include recent raises from Valero, (VLO) and DRIP on dividend from last month. I am currently DRIP all stocks on Sharebuilder account, until I get to a point it's decent enough to add to and buy share on its own. I see that time fast approaching very soon on the near future, when such time arrive I will change my strategy

As I look forward to continue dividend growth I can see this continue to grow into a passive income to sustain my family lifestyle.

What are your thoughts on recent purchases?  What are you buying?
